This holiday season, we’re filled with the normal end-of-the-year anticipation, combined with a deep awareness of the times we’re all living in this unique December 2020.
We’re taking a trip down memory lane to remember the wellness tips we’ve recommended, from small business owners to small business owners, over the last few months.
If you’re looking for peace of mind this holiday season, we’ve created a round-up of our workplace wellness features for some inspiration!
Our “Small Business Wellness Practice” series began with introducing the idea of ‘mindfulness’ to the workplace. Out of the yoga studios and into the C-suites, there is real value in taking the well-being of clients and employees seriously. We asked you to consider how your current mindfulness practices impacted your businesses in 2020 and it is a good time to reflect on that again as we end the year.
We moved out of the mind and into the body by reminding you that hydration is a wellness tip! Thirsty yet? Think about implementing one of our tips for preventing dehydration as you plan for 2021.
Gratitude was the name of the game well before Thanksgiving, with the research making the benefits of the practice clear. Check out our tips on how to foster more gratitude in your company culture as a refresher for the new year!
The serious topic of burnout felt important to address, as COVID numbers surged and reports came out with more recent numbers about workplace stress during the pandemic. Don’t miss the meme hidden within all the statistics and citations! As a licensed Master of Science in Social Work, I take this topic to heart and first learned about it while working in a domestic violence shelter in 2010. Please do not hesitate to share this widely to help spread awareness about how we can support each other, now and in the future. Be sure to read: Noticing Burnout
Our tips on practicing self-care around election day and through the results process are relevant for any stressors!
One of our favorite practices that can be easily implemented is changing up your background noise during work, with sound therapy another evidence-based practice that can be a mood game-changer.
Be sure to review our feature on self-care tips in honor of Entrepreneurs’ Day, for those running their own business.
We circled back to gratitude for the holiday season, inspired by St. Vincent de Paul’s 26 Days of Gratitude! If you feel inspired to act on any of them, let us know on social media or comment on the blog!
